Vikas Arora, MD

Presentation This was a follow-up scan in a 35-year-old man with a previous history of right orchitis.

Caption: Comparative scans of both the testes
Description: The left testis is normal in size and architecture. The right testis is significantly smaller in size than the left testis and comparatively appears to be hypoechoic.

Caption: Color Doppler scan of the right testis
Description: No areas of normal flow are identified within the small right testis. These features are consistent with atrophy of the right testis, that occurred as a sequel to prior episode of orchitis.

Caption: Color Doppler scan of the left testis
Description: Normal intra-testicular flow is identified in the left testis.

Differential Diagnosis Atrophic right testis

Final Diagnosis Atrophic right testis as a sequel to previous orchitis
