Case report
Following images show a case of bilobate placenta diagnosed at 22 weeks and confirmed after birth. Search for low laying placental insertion and vasa praevia was negative.

: The images show both parts of the placenta with the anterior (*) and posterior (**) lobes. They are almost of the same size which is a characteristic feature of bilobate placentas.

: Power Doppler scans showing the sub-amniotic vessels joining the two placental lobes.

: Cord insertion on the anterior placental lobe.
