The following images represent five different locations of the ectopic pregnancies detected in our department.
This case represents a clasical tubal extrauterine pregnancy.
Images 1, 2, and 3: The images show gray-scale (Image 1) and color Doppler scans (Images 2, 3) of the gestational sac located within the fallopian tube.
This case shows a cervical ectopic pregnancy.
Images 4, 5, and 6: The images show sagittal (Image 4) and transverse (Images 5, 6) scans of a uterine cervix with the infiltration of the cervical endometrium by the trophoblast of the ectopic cervical pregnancy.
This case represents cornual (interstitial) ectopic pregnancy.
Images 7, 8, and 9: The images show a sac of the ectopic pregnancy located within the myometrium of a uterine corner. The images 8 and 9 show the rich vascularization around the ectopic gestationl sac depicted by the color Doppler.
This case represents a twin ectopic pregnancy localized in a fallopian tube.
Images 10, 11, and video 1: The images show two ectopic gestational sacs (smaller and bigger one - on the image 10 they are labeled as "geu"). The video 1 represents a sweep through the fallopian tube with the two ectopic gestational sacs.
This case represents an ectopic pregnancy localized within the uterine scar after a cesarean section.
Images 12, 13, 14, and 15: The image 12 shows a sagittal scan of the uterus with the gestational sac localized in the isthmic part of the uterus within the scar after previous cesarean section. A very tiny red line labels the uterine cavity. The image 13 shows sagittal scan through the cervix (U) and gestational sac (G) located just above the cervix within the isthmic scar after the cesarean section. The images 14 and 15 represent color Doppler scans of the gestational sac located within the scar after the cesarean section. A rich vascularization demarks the trophoblast of the gestational sac.
