TheFetus.net: How to use the forum
TheFetus forum (Tools > TheFetus.net Forum or http://www.thefetus.net/forum/Home.aspx) is a great resource for knowledge sharing amongst the fetus users community. It is a simple application that can be used to ask any questions that you may have to the users community. The question posted by you would become available to others to read and reply to.
We all face challenges from time to time in our professions, the forums section of the fetus has been created for this very specific purpose of asking others what challenges you face as an ultrasound professional and also to share your knowledge as an expert in your field with others when they face a challenge that you may have the answers to. We already have about a thousand users who are registered in the forums section.
Using the forums section is pretty simple, if you are already a member then just go to http://www.thefetus.net/forum/login.php and log in to view posts by other people and to post your own questions. If not a user then just go to the home page and click on the register button from the top in order to register yourself as a user.
During the registration you will be asked to provide your email address. Once you complete the process you will receive an email at the address you provided to authenticate yourself. After authentication the login becomes active and can be used to view and create posts.
Here is a short point by point of what all can be done on the fetus forums:
1.) You can submit posts (questions) and submit answers to posts from other users.
2.) You can search on the existing database of questions/ answers to find the answers to your questions.
3.) You can send messages to other users only. Instead of posting a message publicly to all the users you can send them dedicatedly to users whose knowledge you trust.
4.) You can contact other members directly using email.
In case of any questions you can search through the FAQ’s section and you will be able to find answers to most of your questions.
