Gallbladder, hypoplasia
Francois Manson, MD
France
This is a primigravida with unremarkable medical history. At 22 and 29 weeks, the gallbladder was not seen in the ultrasound scan. A karyotype and specific tests for cystic fibrosis were performed. All the results were normal. At 32 weeks, a small cystic mass was observed at the fetal upper right abdomen. The Doppler showed no vascularization. At birth, an isolated hypoplastic gallbladder was diagnosed.
