3D images of the pericallosal artery. The pericallosal artery is a continuation of the anterior cerebral artery. It arches superiorly and posteriorly it runs over the superior surface of the corpus callosum. This artery supplies corpus callosum and the medial surface of the cerebral hemispheres.
Absence of the pericallosal artery is a sign of agenesis of the corpus callosum.
